Home Inspections

No home is in perfect condition. We strongly recommend that you have your prospective new home inspected by an experienced home inspector to check for hidden defects.

An inspector will prepare a written report noting the conditions that are present and visible at the time of inspection. The report will give you a better understanding of the home's general condition and how things operate.

Typically, the inspection will include the following items:

  • foundation (slab, crawlspace, basement, etc.)
  • roof & attic
  • walls, doors, floors, ceilings
  • fireplaces, chimneys
  • windows, porches, decks, garage
  • heating and air-conditioning systems
  • plumbing, electrical
  • installed appliances, doorbells, garage door openers
  • property drainage
  • and much more.

This inspection will determine the condition of these items and any defects that may need to be corrected.

Other tests and inspections that may be required include well and septic inspections, and water bacteriological analysis --depending on location and type of residence.
